Microsoft Remote Desktop review

Microsoft Remote Desktop is a cross-platform online service by Microsoft that’s designed to provide you with remote access to your computer and virtual workspaces from your smartphone. The app provides full control over your desktop, no matter where you are. You can use the machine at full power without limitations. You can download the latest version on the App Store and Google Play.

Interface – 4/5

The user interface of the platform is rather minimalistic in both Android and iOS versions. However, the user experience is a bit different. In fact, it looks significantly better on iOS. Due to the more logical placement of tabs and functional buttons, you can navigate notably faster. On the other hand, the interface design doesn’t matter that much as you will spend much more time using Windows 10 on your smartphone or tablet screen. Interacting with the system on a multi-touch touchscreen is a pleasure.

Content and features – 5/5

Surprisingly, Microsoft developed a highly reliable tool for getting quick access to remote desktops. The configurations are quite simple, while the number of features is limited only by the capabilities of your computer. You can link your app with multiple computers and access them anytime if they’re on. The app lets you obtain full control over your Windows 10 copy and use any software remotely. For proprietary Microsoft services, there’s an option to access remote workspaces for MS Office, Vizio, and many more.

Usability – 5/5

We love this app as it offers the most convenient remote controls over multiple desktops. It doesn’t limit your actions and lets you do anything from word document editing to playing heavy video games.

Given that this app is proprietary for Windows, you can be sure that your data is protected from third-party access, and it’s processed only by Microsoft’s servers. It’s not the best way to stream games as the gaming process can work without response delays only if your Internet connection is 4G, 5G, or speedy WiFi (not public).

Compatibility – 5/5

Microsoft Remote Desktop is available for iOS 13+ and Android 4.1+. Although the apps look slightly different, they’re both convenient and provide the same number of features. We recommend installing the latest version to unleash the full potential of the service.

In-app Purchases

You can download and use Microsoft Remote Desktop for free forever. All the features are unlocked from the start, no matter what your purposes are. The configuration of your Windows computer is also totally free.

Microsoft Remote Desktop is an excellent tool for solving work tasks on the go with the full power of your desktop computer. It’s the only way to control multiple PCs remotely without third-party software, which makes it the safest way as well. It’s totally free to start and perfect for your business.
